Traveling to Germany

Traveling to a foreign country can be an adventure in itself and Germany is no exception.  There are so many things that you can do here, that you most likely could not do anywhere else.  Or at least not like you can do it here!

If you are an adventurous traveler, then you will love Germany!  You can start your visit by getting set up for some extreme camping.  There are resorts where you actually sleep in a tent that is hanging from a tree.  You will have to climb ropes and slide out across the tree branch before you can finally climb into your tent for the night.

On the Isar River, you can climb aboard a traditional log raft, similar to those built many centuries ago and take a ride.  There are many tour groups that organize these trips.  The trip can be quite lengthy, so make sure that you allow enough time for the trip.

This may be one of the only places where you will have the chance to go kiteboarding and there is actually a school where you can get a few lessons before you head out.  The school is located on the island of Fehmarn and is becoming quite popular.  They practically guarantee that you will be successful in learning how to kiteboard.  In Ingolstadt and Bayern, Sports Unlimited offers bungee jumping and a vertical skywalk.  The bungee jumps range from 50 meters to 150 meters and are guaranteed to get your excitement up and your blood pumping.

Of course, if you want to even out your trip a little or relax, you can always go and visit some of the museums and castles that are available in Germany.  And what trip to Germany would be complete without a stop at a local brewery for a tour and a large stein of dark brew!
